Esperanza policies:  Special events

Field trips

Your child must be wearing a current Esperanza t-shirt on each field trip.  If he or she is not wearing one, we will provide it, but we will need to charge you an additional $10.00 for each shirt.
 

Birthday parties

We do encourage school celebrations for your child’s birthday.  Please give at least a day's notice.  We have found the most successful event is a simple birthday party at 4:00 p.m. 

A helium tank is available, and your teacher will be glad to inflate balloons if you drop them off in advance.  Although we do have sweets here during certain holiday parties, raw veggies with a dip, fruit, chips and natural drinks provide for happier and calmer children.  We will not serve hard or small pieces of candy. 

As a result of past experiences, we do not recommend clowns or hired persons in fantasy costumes for school parties.
