Esperanza policies: Medicine, naps, extra clothes

Medicine |
The procedure for administering medicine is as follows: |

1. |
Fill out and sign your child’s class medication forms. In Toddler House,
the medication forms are located in the Sign-In Log Book, in the Main
House they are located in the kitchen. Please check (/) each day we are to
give medication. We will initial your check to indicate that we have given
the medicine. We give medication at noon and 4:00 p.m. only. |

2. |
Medicine requiring refrigeration is to be stored in
the container, clearly marked for medicine, in the refrigerator. |
|
3. |
Medicine not requiring refrigeration is to be stored
in the basket marked with your child’s class name. Medicine is NOT to be
stored in your child’s cubby or lunchkits. |

4. |
ACCORDING TO REGULATIONS, ALL MEDICATION MUST BE
LABELED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME, DOSAGE AND DATE YOU BRING IT. |

5. |
Medications should be taken home when the child has
finished or at the end of the week. Medication that is left over the
weekend and is not currently needed will be discarded on Monday.

Naps |
The children sleep on nap pads on the carpeted floor. You
may bring a blanket and a small pillow from home. Children may also bring a small comfort
item. Please label these items at all times.
Nap time for the Toddler House will begin
from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. for the young toddlers and 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. for the older group. For the Main House and Mighty Eagles, nap will begin at 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. |

Extra clothes |
Please ensure that your child has at least one change of clothes
available daily, including underwear. Bring these in a bag labeled with your childs
name and store these in your childs cubby. Soiled clothes are placed in plastic bags
and returned to your childs cubby. Please, take these home daily. |
